flash 3d gaming engine - alternativa3d

i completely forgot about this 3d engine… only cos of lack of time to post stuff!

but alternativa3d seems to be currently the most power flash 3d engines out there for producing games.

more adobe MAX sneak peaks…

check it out at peter elst’s blog.

there’s some cool stuff like:

the running video whilst in the dev. mode (so no publishing and waiting),
dynamic motion tweens just like the stuff in after effects,
c/c++ conversion to actionscript, which of course creates swfs which in turn can be used in flex and air apps. (the video shows quake running in a flash player)

flash player 10 (Astro)… and new image processing language (Hydra)

Astro using Hydra… sounds like some sort of crazy 80’s computer game.

but the latest announcement from the adobe camp is the release of flash player 10 (codenamed astro) that will use a new image processing language (codenamed hydra).

over at the adobe labs there’s a download of the Adobe Image Foundation Toolkit Technology Preview which you can preview the new language.

so in a nutshell you can create your own filters in the new release of the flash player.
